Recap Spring Symposium 2024

A Prescription for the District, #Rx4DC

Event Was Held May 21st

On May 21st, the Chapter held its annual Spring Symposium. We unveiled our Prescription for the District, #Rx4DC

More than 70 attendees, including a diverse group of external stakeholders, gathered to engage in meaningful conversation and next steps. The Prescription for the District was the culmination of a year-long advocacy initiative by DCAAP chapter members, in collaboration with community partners, to develop a strength-based, preventive approach to addressing violence in communities.

Over the next few months, our leadership team will continue to incorporate our members’ input as we explore practical approaches to implementing our plan. Thank you to those who were able to join us in person. For those interested in participating in this work, please contact Keith Montgomery, executive director or join the Advocacy Committee for more frequent updates on the work.
