2025 Fall Symposium – Advancing Pediatric Immigrant Health: Clinical, Community, and Advocacy Perspectives

DCAAP brought together community organizations and pediatric health professionals from across DC to discuss “Pediatric Immigrant Health: Clinical, Community & Advocacy Perspectives.” As part of the chapter’s annual Fall Symposium, the Chapter’s Immigrant Health Committee led by Sarah Durrin, MD, and other planning faculty, held a night of thought presentation and conversations with local community groups. Thank you to Tamar Haro and Marsha Griffin, MD, for setting the stage with an overview of the current state of affairs and positive examples of what can be achieved working together. Our sincere appreciation goes out to the community groups that shared their time to answer questions about local resources and included: Acacia, Catholic Charities, Children’s Law Center, LAYC, The Young Center, Volunteer Legal Advocates and Ayuda.
