As part of our ongoing grant work focused on “Supporting  Children Experiencing Domestic Violence Through Partnerships with Community-based Service Agencies,” the DC Chapter will host a lunchtime webinar featuring two local partners – the DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Ujima, The National Center on Violence Against Women in the Black Community. This 45-minute presentation is available to all a pediatric professionals in DC. CME credit is available.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify warning signs of possible domestic or intimate partner violence
  • Formulate approach to inquire about the child(ren)’s and non-offending parent’s safety using survivor centered and trauma informed practices
  • Assess for the best local DV service provider to offer a referral 
  • Assess for health inequities that may impact the accessibility of services
