Chapter Advocacy Day

“Advocacy Amplified: Skills for Every Voice”

Mark your calendars for March 11th – the DCAAP Annual Advocacy Day. Learn from the personal experiences of chapter and community leaders, practice your advocacy skills, and network with community organizations and colleagues.

Lunch will be provided. This is an in-person learning opportunity only!

The learning objectives are

  • Understand essential processes in local/federal government including where health care providers can have the greatest impact.
  • Identify non-traditional avenues for advocacy.
  • Practice adaptable advocacy skills (verbal & written) for various environments.
  • Build advocacy networks.
  • Complete an advocacy activity with potential for immediate impact.

We continue to build on our Prescription for the District (#Rx4DC) and explore key topics before the Chapter, the DC Council, and at the national level. With local legislative challenges and the changing national administration, it will be all hands on board to help protect DC’s kids and make sure they have the resources their families need to thrive.
