On Thursday, March 24th, members of the DC AAP Adolescent Health Working Group met with the DC Council to make the case for more funding in fiscal year 2017 to reduce the incidence of teen pregnancies in the District. Their messages were well received by the Council.

Now we are asking for your help to make your voice heard on this issue.  On Thursday, April 7th, please help us raise  #1.5MillionMore!  Please see below for options and information on how you can advocate for continued DC funding for teen pregnancy prevention programs.

Ask the City Council to continue supporting the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Fund Establishment Act by allocating $1.5 Million More to reducing teen pregnancy in Washington, DC.

DC Campaign and the Adolescent Health Working Group need your help to sustain this important initiative which provides programs and services across the city designed to reduce the incidence of teen pregnancy.

You can advocate for $1.5 Million More by visiting your City Council member and especially members of the Committee on Health and Human Services, chaired by the Honorable Yvette Alexander or you can email, call and tweet with the message $1.5 Million More for the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Fund Establishment Act!

Teens making smart choices + Parents talking to their children + Programs and services reaching the hardest to reach = the lowest teen pregnancy rate in DC history.
