What has your Chapter done lately?

  • Members involved in the DC elementary schools providing educational programs to discourage smoking at an early age.
  • Continued to work with the Children's Health Care Coalition of DC that includes over twenty-five organizations to address SCHIP enrollment, school health and other key health issues for DC children and families.
  • Continued to be involved in the education of third party payors of the health needs of children.
  • Provided testimony before local and national government officials as members of the Speakers Bureau.
  • Worked with school and health department officials to revise and simplify health care documentation for school-aged children.
  • Collaborated with the Maryland and Virginia Chapters in outreach to area children during the 2005 NCE.
  • Received funding for outreach to area medical students.
  • Hosted an annual Pediatric Career Day for area residents and medical students.
